May... We stand on guard for thee.

It's May 15th, the Christian festival of Pentecost.

It's snowing.

I spoke to the president of my congregation about this. "Why?" I said.

His answer?

"Canada."

O Canada, our home and native land!

With glowing heart, we see thee rise, the true North, strong and free.

O Canada! We stand on guard for thee!
(These views are out our back door from the kitchen to the deck, as Beth and I discussed things over corned beef and Swiss cheese sandwiches at lunch.)
